About Independent Living Centers (ILCs)
Independent Living Centers (ILCs) are community-based non-profit organizations run by people with disabilities. At ILCs, you can work with peers and advocates to live more independently.
What can Independent Living Centers (ILCs) provide for me?
- Peer counseling
- Skills training
- Referral resources for finding accessible housing, assistive technology, transportation, and more.
- Advocacy programs for understanding your disability rights.
If you have a severe disability, ILCs can:
- Help you transition from a rehab facility to a home and/or community setting.
- Help you stay at home and in your community.
